LIsa's legacy

“Making a difference” was Lisa’s mantra. Her approach to life was epitomized by her belief in acting locally and the importance of small deeds. Lisa exuded passion for every cause she took on. She was active in numerous charitable organizations and always lent a hand to those around her, whether it be through a resume edit, dropping off a meal, or organizing a food drive. When Lisa was diagnosed with melanoma in 2014, she refused to let her disease define her as she continued to make a positive impact on the world around her.

After her passing in 2017, her family and friends wanted to not only keep her memory alive but continue her passion for helping others. While her professional life focused on recruiting and retaining talent in technology firms, Lisa enjoyed serving as a mentor and emphasized the importance of getting involved – socially, professionally and charitably. This scholarship is a way to preserve the legacy of Lisa Kaminski. It provides an opportunity for graduating high school students that are both passionate about making a difference and interested in technology, to continue their education.
